Ross L. Levine, MD, FAHA, FAAN
"Being a physician is not just about the science of medicine, memorizing formulas and facts, or having to always look things up on a computer. Rather, we continually strive to participate in the art of healing the human spirit, body and mind."

Medical Interests
Dr. Levine is the Meriter Medical Group's Division Chief for Neurology. He was drawn to neurology because it allows him to piece together the puzzle of the nervous system. To do so, he combines each patient’s neurologic history with a detailed and focused neurologic examination using tailored neuroimaging. He is then able to offer succinct and precise neurologic diagnoses, specific treatments, restorative care, and disease/condition-specific counseling.
Medical Philosophy
Dr. Levine strives for excellence, which is evidenced by his recognitions, including being one of only five neurologists in the Madison area with subspecialty expertise in Vascular (Stroke) Neurology. He uses this expertise to serve as a Neurologic Consultant and works with each patient’s primary care provider to implement their individual treatment plan. Dr. Levine does not rush through evaluations, and devotes as much time as necessary to provide the best possible care.
Personal Interests
In his free time, Dr. Levine enjoys cooking, reading, playing tennis and any family activity. He is also involved with Madison’s Downtown Rotary and the Capitol Chordsmen Chorus.
