Although she enjoys the full spectrum of general surgery, Karen has a special interest assisting in bariatric surgery. She finds it very rewarding to help these patients decrease and even eliminate their medications, improve functionality and increase their self-confidence. Karen sees patients for a variety of conditions including abdominal issues, thyroid/parathyroid issues, breast issues and lipomas.
Karen provides a welcoming office environment in which to explain a patient's individual health concerns in a simple, easy to understand manner. She feels it's important to take the time to listen to her patients in an empathetic manner and educate them about treatment options.
During her free time, Karen likes to spend time with friends and family. She also enjoys taking care of her pet dogs and horses.
