"I am a strong believer in the power of a healthy lifestyle to prevent and manage many common health concerns - including heart disease, diabetes, hypertension and lipid disorders. I also believe that changing habits is possible … one small step at a time."

Medical Interests
Jane enjoys all aspects of adult primary care, but has a special interest in preventive cardiology, including cholesterol and blood pressure management, as well as the lifestyle management of diabetes. Jane also leads Meriter’s Women HeartCare program.
Medical Philosophy
Jane’s general approach to medicine is to provide each patient with the information and resources they need, which encourages them to participate in their health care decisions. Jane believes the best patient/provider relationships are developed through respectful and honest communication. She feels that it’s important to take the time to carefully listen to a patient’s health concerns; more often then not, patients have the best insight about what’s going on and what needs to be done.
Personal Interests
In her free time, Jane spends as much time outdoors as she can – hiking, running, biking, skiing and gardening. She also enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with family, friends and her Tibetan Terrier – Winnie.
