Dr. Shropshire has a special interest in Sports Medicine, including caring for people of all ages with musculoskeletal problems and injuries. He also has a passion for adolescent medicine, assisting emerging adults with healthy, informed decision-making and transitions. He enjoys practicing advanced motivational interviewing techniques to empower patients who are looking to lead a healthier lifestyle.

Medical Philosophy

Dr. Shropshire brings twenty years of relationship building and practice experience to the Meriter Medical Group. Influenced by his father, Dr. Shropshire grew up with a love for people and medicine. He not only enjoys the clinical side of his career, but also the opportunity to develop relationships with his patients and the community he serves. He emphasizes taking time to provide education to patients by helping them on their journey towards optimal health.

Personal Interests

In his free time, Dr. Shropshire enjoys spending time with his family, biking, water skiing, snow skiing, and playing saxophone and guitar in a local band. He also volunteers in his community with the Monona Grove School District. Dr. Shropshire is fluent in Spanish and helps organize an international health rotation in Belize.
